"Oh, my god!" screamed Flaky, seeing the state that Flippy was in.
His hands were died red with blood and his jacket was torn. She put her hand on shoulder and brought him in the house. His legs didn't seem to be working very well and she had to drag him to the couch. He slumped down on the couch without even opening his eyes. He was too tired even to move.
"What happened to you?" she said sitting next him. "Flippy?"

Thanks to the explosion, the hospital was full to the brim. Giggles and Cuddles were badly burnt and Toothy was missing his arm. Petunia's leg was bent in completely the wrong direction and Handy had his helmet imbedded in his head. Russell's hook caught in Cubs arm and the mole seemed to have impaled Mime. Lumpy and some of the girls who had run away early were dashing around the place trying to help everyone. Flippy looked at everyone and gave a silent sob. Flaky sat next to Nutty who had the candy stuck to his hair melted on.

The jamboree was the social event of the year. It was as anticipated as Christmas and was mainly there to celebrate the summer. There was barley anyone that didn't go and by the time it came along Cuddles had even managed to pester Flaky into going. It was held in the clearing and a large tent was put up in the slight chance it would rain, even though it never did.

Flaky sat quietly at the edge of the table that she and her friends were sitting at. Cuddles and Giggles were sharing a milk shake and Nutty was face first in a bowl of ice cream. He quickly brought his face out and gasped a quick breath of air and proceeded to do the same all over again. She giggled at him.
Flaky sighed and looked out the window. She thought of how best to tell her friends about her…relationship. She looked over to the boys and smiled. They probably wouldn't be too hard to tell. Flippy smiled in post hormonal bliss and looked out the window. He hadn't been this happy in a very long time, not since he left the army. The night before had been magical. The sound of her saying "I love you too" still echoed in her mind. They had spent what seemed like hours just caught in the moment and kissing. All regrets and doubts wiped away from each of them.
