Andromeda 51 OCs

The story these guys are set in takes place in the Andromeda Galaxy a few thousands years into the future. It's basically about this team of alien creatures that live on a space station orbiting an alien Planet. Like most of my ideas. Lots of character thought, 0 plot planned. 
But anyway, intros.
(BTW. This next little blarg is just going to be about their species. Their personalities are under it.)

The two on the left are Named S.AL and T.ED. The're a species called Mecrians and come from a planet that's been warring with the race on the far right for the last thousand years. However, for the past new centuries, the two planets have come to a kind of stalemate due to each planet aiming a giant planet destroying cannon at the other. Think of a cold war situation that's gone on so long no-one really cares anymore. So in an odd little exchange program, they've come to the station in an effort to keep the peace. The species is genderless, and reproduce through a cloning process that involves two mates. One the baby reaches around 2 years old, their body splits into two opposing personalities. One very methodical, serious and very left brain orientated.  The one on the right is more...well right brain-ish. Goofy, creative, adventurous and hopeless at any kind of planning. The two stay with each other throughout their lives and spend the vast majority of their time together. If one dies, the other will soon follow. The antenna on their heads are actually en extra pair of eyes, as ones on their face are incapable of movement. Their culture is rather violent, with one half being cold and logic based and the other being up for anything as long as it's fun. 
The two in the middle are names Mellany and Alex. They're both essentially human but descend from humans that travelled away from earth and colonised an empty planet on the outskirts of the galaxy. The only difference is, exposure to their new sun has given them almost magic type abilities. They can convert part of their life force into literal physical energy that surrounds them and enables them to fly, shoot energy beams and stuff like that. These moments last for around five minutes before they'll pass out normally so most of them tend to stay away from this energy state. Looks kinda cool though.
The ones on the far right are named Fyve and Tehn. They are the native species to the planet they are orbiting, named Alor. They are slightly squid like in their anatomy and every limb has a skeletal structure much like a snake. They also dry out fairly easily, due to the exceptionally high humidity of their home planet. They are generally a very peaceful race of creatures who tend to be more culture orientated than anything else. Hens their world is filled with philosophers, artists, writers and poets rather than warmongers or scientists. The are very tall creatures, the average male reaching around 6ft 6 and the average women only slightly smaller. Their skin is also rather toxic, a defence mechanism they developed to help protect themselves from predators. Their hair, when touched would result in an intense sting. Their skin would feel like mild static. They are not a maternal species, at all. In fact they reach maturity very quickly, roughly within 5 of their years. So family isn't really that much of a thing. 

Ok. Now that's out of the way. Characters now. 
Going in order from left to right. 

S.AL. The head scientist in charge of overseeing projects, developing new technology and other science things. They're very typical of their species in that they is very serious, aloof and doesn't talk much to others besides their mate, T.ED. They spend the vast majority of their time alone in a lab and has been knows to go slightly stir crazy if not able to work on anything new for a long period of time. They are by far one of the most inelegant on the station and is normally the others go-to person whenever a situation arises, particularly one involving new discoveries. They don't really like to DO anything other than work.

T.ED is the yin to S.AL's yang. They are playful, adventurous, energetic and very rarely think things through. They are also rather destructive an can be rather careless with others lives. While friendly and cheerful most of the time, they are also the one most willing to kill any enemy that comes along and their willingness to do anything that seems slightly amusing has caused many issues in the past.
The little ball thing that's between them is a genetic life form that their species is capable of making. It is made roughly the same way their species reproduces and thus they can technically be seen as their children. There are thousands of them all over the ship, most enhanced with some kind of weaponry, creating a strange little army of coloured flouting orbs. T.EN likes to think of them as their children, and will go ballistic if they see one of them get hurt.  

Mell is a pirate. She is feisty, tough spoken, blunt and fairly mischievous. She tends to come and go as she pleases but seems to find her way onto the station more often than not much to Fyve's chagrin. She doesn't hold any real malice, towards anyone, but tends to be followed by trouble, either by bounty hunters or whoever she's managed to tick off during her travels. As the station is a place of intergalactic diplomatic immunity, she often find herself their, hiding until the heat is off her and she can vanish back into space. She considers herself fairly close with several of the members working and living on the station and has resolved not to steal anything from the place.

Alex is Mell's cousin. He doesn't approve of her life style, though it's mainly because of the trouble she tends to cause for the station rather than holding any kind of moral high ground. This has led to many altercations between the two before and there is a fair amount of tension, though not enough to put the two at permanent loggerheads. He's a morose individual. Rarely in a good mood and normally always grumbling about something. He's the station mechanic and has a fairly close working relationship with S.AL who's one of the few people that can put a smile on his face.

Tehn is Fyve's confidant, adviser, butler and generally the guy that runs around after her. He's a fairly inelegant, but in that special Alorian way that isn't of much use in real life or death situations. He knows a lot about the culture and history of the neighbouring planets and is one of the few people that greatly enjoys when Mell visits, as she always has stories to tell. He is fiercely loyal and will lay down his life for his people. He's some what shy and formal, believing in good manners and is normally the first person people talk to when entering the ship. 

Fyve is the queen of Alor. She is an upright and proper person, with very little patience for tom foolery and an air of authority. However, she is also immensely shy and relies of the support of others to get through some of the more challenging aspects of rule. On her off time, she enjoys walking alone, pondering random things and allowing her brain some respite. At times, she can be rather sweet and her whole ambition in life is to preserve the future of her race and ensure the safety of her planet. She's also a fairly stressed out person and tends to worry too much, even for someone in charge of a planet.
